No matter how small of a donation is, or whether you make a loan made through our Kiva Network, your impact will be felt worldwide. As of October 15th, 2026, funding donated to the Student RSO has multiplied 5.18x, meaning that every dollar donated has made 5.18 times the impact.

Donate toward our mission
Our organization’s growth and success rely entirely on the generosity and continued support of our donors. Through our donors’ support, we have been able to provide $160,000+ in loans to entrepreneurs in 88+ countries through our student organization.
In addition to supporting the mission, your funding may qualify for tax-deduction. Our team is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, allowing potential federal tax deduction for our donors.
No matter how much you donate, your support will be tremendous in our mission and communities worldwide.

About the image: The image here includes our Faculty Advisor and our largest donor, Professor Stenzel Paulette, working directly with one of our direct loan recipients from the Weaving Cooperative in Guatemala. Your funding will help impact loan recipients all over the world.

Join Our Kiva Network
Besides donating, you can also make a direct impact by contributing toward a loan through our Kiva Network.
Kiva is a platform where entrepreneurs can directly pitch their business proposals globally. So far, we have made 1157 loans through this platform as a student organization.
If you prefer to choose where your funding goes and which project your impact supports, this is the perfect way to get involved in our mission.
Simply join our Kiva Network to be associated with the Spartan Global Development Fund and loan a minimum of twenty-five dollars (as set by Kiva) to any project. So far, our Kiva Network has lent out $96,000+ since 2009 (data as of October 15th, 2026)

Student Team
Besides supporting us financially, any student at Michigan State University can make a direct impact by joining our student organization.
Our student organization is one of the driving forces behind our impact. The student team is the one that analyzes the impact and risks of each loan. They are the ones who help acquire funding with the support of the Board of Directors and maintain relations with sponsors. They are the ones who build our media presence and spread impact within our community.
Our student organization is open to all majors, all grades, genders, and ethnicities. Applications for our organization will open up at the start of every semester.
