Meet the 2026–27 Student Board

The Spartan Global Development Fund is excited to introduce its 2026–27 Student Board, a team of dedicated student leaders committed to advancing SGDF's mission through leadership, innovation, and global impact. United by a shared passion for microfinance and sustainable development, the new board looks forward to expanding student engagement, strengthening community partnerships, and increasing the organization's impact in the year ahead.

Leading the organization as President is Kien Nguyen, who will guide SGDF's strategic direction while supporting the organization's continued growth and commitment to global development.

Supporting the organization's financial sustainability is Ivanka Tasevski, serving as Finance & Fundraising. She will help manage fundraising initiatives and financial planning to ensure SGDF can continue supporting entrepreneurs through microloans. Serving as Marketing & Communications is Gabriela Alves Mayer, who will oversee SGDF's communications, social media presence, and outreach efforts to increase awareness of the organization's mission and engage students across campus. Joining the board as New Member & Donor Relations is Shaheer Rehmani, who will focus on welcoming new members, strengthening donor relationships, and building a strong, connected SGDF community.

Together, the 2026–27 Student Board is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for students while continuing SGDF's mission of empowering entrepreneurs around the world through microfinance. With fresh ideas, collaborative leadership, and a shared vision for global impact, the team is excited for the opportunities and accomplishments that lie ahead.
